Yousra Odeh is an Assistant Professor in the Software Engineering Dept at Applied Science Private University.
Also, she is assistant director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (ICE) in the university.
In 2015, she had her PhD from the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol, UK. She is specialized in Requirements Engineering in Cancer Care Informatics.
PhD thesis case study was adopted from KHCC. She possesses a thorough background and understanding of cancer care context as a case of health care systems in aligning business goals, quality requirements, business process architecture, and associated processes with related software services that will ensure improving the efficiency and effectiveness of cancer care processes, and the quality of cancer patients’ experience and outcomes of care.
Her BSc is in computer science from the University of Jordan.Yousra mentored many entrepreneurship projects for the social good and particularly in health care from 2016.
In 2020, she was part of the team that mentored the first winning place healthcare platform project that was prototyped to reduce the impact of Covid-19 on healthcare staff in the New York Abu Dhabi International Hackathon.
In industry, she worked as a system business analyst after her PhD. She managed the work of business process reengineering and consulted governmental organizations in business needs. In ASU, she is the head of the Community Service Committee at FIT, Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Women in IT.
