Rana Yousef is an associate professor of software engineering in the computer information systems department, King Abdullah II School of information technology, the University of Jordan.
She attained her BSc and MSc in computer science from the University of Jordan, and her PhD in software engineering from the University of the West of England-Bristol/UK in 2010.
She worked as a dean assistant for computer, development and quality affairs in the Deanship of Academic Research in the University of Jordan in 2015, and she is a Member of the Association of Jordanian Women Academics in Jordan.
In her PhD thesis she developed an ontology-based framework to semantically generate services from business process architectures.
Her research interests are focused on requirements engineering, business process modelling, and ontology development. She is mainly interested in finding better ways to build knowledge bases using ontologies especially in the bioethics domain.
